jQuery London 2010 Postponed

Posted on by

After much deliberation, The jQuery Project Operations Team has decided to postpone our planned London event this year.  Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a suitable venue that would allow us to provide the type of professional-quality event the community has come to expect within a budget sustainable by the project.  We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and are actively working on planning a European event for 2011.

The entire jQuery Team is saddened that we couldn’t make it to London next month but for the sake of the project and everyone that planned on attending this was the best course of action.

We are putting all our efforts into being able to announce a Boston Conference and make that the best jQuery Conference in Boston this year ;-)

  2. This is a major bummer ;( However, it comes with a blessing in disguise for me as I know have much more time to plan for my submission to talk at next years conference. Looking forward to 2011.

  3. Well, that’s too bad.
Hope you manage to do one venue in London next year.
A tip : some conferences manage to secure a venue by making early bird tickets sales.

  4. For future UK conferences, I recommend the Europa Gatwick Hotel just south of london. Being near Gatwick airport makes it great for european travellers and being not that far from a train station is great for people coming from London/Brighton.
