This is a quick bug fix release for jQuery 1.1.3. About six major issues popped up after the 1.1.3 release that we deemed important enough to resolve immediately, with a follow-up release. The full list of resolved issues can be found on the bug tracker.

If you haven’t already upgraded to 1.1.3, please just upgrade straight to instead. Also, if you’re encountering any issues with 1.1.3, please try this release.

You can download the release from the jQuery Google Code page:

As always, be sure to let us know if you encounter any issues by submitting a bug report to the jQuery bug tracker.

  2. I’m not sure if #1131 (Latest Nightlies Crash Safari 1.3.2) is fixed. Going to jquery.com (which is using still crashes the browser…

  3. Hi, I’m with Robin – I’ve tested OSX 10.3.x with Safari 1.2 and 1.3 and it does not fix the Safari crash. Can someone please update on when this might be resolved?

    I’m the one that reported #1131 and did the work on tracking it down. It definitely was not fixed with the patch last night, but I’ve posted a working patch to the ticket as of this morning.

  6. John: the bug in question is 1331

    Also do I need to apply both of those patches or just the one where you add the parseInt() ?

    I confirme that crash safari, at least 1.3.2 on OSX 10.3.9.
    But the 3.0.2 beta on win xp sp2 is doing “fine”.

  9. el = document.getElementById(“XX”);

    this code worked in 1.2.1?? version
    but now doesn’t work.

  10. The code below longer works:

    I am getting:
    f.apply is not a function
    [Break on this error] jQuery.readyList.push( function() { return f.apply(this, [jQuery]) } );

    in file jquery- (line 1534)

    I have tried (as per http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax#load.28_url.2C_params.2C_callback_.29)

    results in:
    missing ) after argument list
    [Break on this error] $(document).ready($(“#ajaxload”).load(“content_home.php”););\n

    There is a “comma” at the end of line #694, shouldn’t this be a semi-colon? It’s part of an object literal, and may cause problems with IE6. We know how it loves extra commas.

    jQuery.styleFloat = jQuery.browser.msie ? “styleFloat” : “cssFloat”,

    Ok, we seriously need to have a jquery that has been talked about. The jquery bug that crashes safari is causing lots of headaches … there’s alot more people on old versions of safari than you would think (our website has gotten numerous tech support requests). Jquery is alienating some of my customer base and we might be losing money because of it.

  13. Any new info on this?

    I just set up a MAC running Safari 2.0 (412) and was shocked to find that our website (http://www.foxycart.com) completely crashes Safari. I was even more concerned when all of our customers’ websites were crashing as well. I narrowed it down to JQuery and then found this thread.

    I see a post from John here: http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-en/msg/a5d3f0a95b6c8a1b

    He says “a new version was provided to those that were effected.” I’m effected… how do I get this new version? Is it part of the nightly builds? I have concerns using a nightly build on a live site, but I also have concerns about crashing browsers.

    Thank you for your response.

    // You can download the release from the jQuery Google Code page

    But if you are in Cuba you can’t!
    All you get is this message:
    Your client does not have permission to get URL /files/jquery- from this server.
    You are accessing this page from a forbidden country.

    Et tu Google!

  19. И я могу написать – интересное. Ð’ моем огороде на даче выросла 8 кг капуста. Могу фотку показать.
