jQuery Conference 2010: Boston Announcement
The jQuery Project is very excited to announce the jQuery Conference 2010: Boston on October 16-17, 2010. The conference will be held at the Hilton Boston Logan in Boston, Massachusetts. The best part of this announcement is that Tickets are on sale now!
This venue is the largest that the project has worked with to date (Harvard Law School in ‘07, the MIT Stata Center in ‘08 and Microsoft New England Research Center in ‘09) and we expect to sell out very quickly.
A brief synopsis of some of the content that you’ll be able to expect:
- jQuery
- jQuery Mobile
- jQuery UI
- jQuery Plugins
- Complex Application Development
- jQuery Case Studies
- Plus much more
Speakers currently include jQuery Team Members:
We are still accepting speaker submissions for Boston, so please submit your proposed talk today! Deadlines for submissions is September 6, 2010 at 11:59PM PST.

If I submitted a panel proposal for the now-cancelled London jQuery Conf, will it still be considered for Boston? Or should I re-submit?
Best to resubmit it again.
Is there going to be a conference rate for the Hilton? I didn’t see anything when registering.
@Graham – I am told that there will be special rates…details to come later this week.
Is there a student rate available??
How many tickets in total are available (both sold and unsold)? How many attendees are expected?
Where is the best place to find room-mates?
Any word on a convention rate at the hotel?
I’m also interested in knowing about a convention rate for the Hotel.
But more importantly, what about an agenda? What topics will be covered?
Hilton Rep just told me that all rooms set aside for the conference have been reserved. He wouldn’t tell me what the rate WAS, only that they have all been booked.
@Jason – the only rooms that are reserved for the conference are for the team and speakers. We are still working with the hotels for the discount pricing. Unfortunately it’s taking longer then expected. We are hoping to have more details by the EOW
@Kevn – The agenda and topics will be announced after the call for speakers deadline passes Monday night.
@bevan – we are expecting ~500 attendees and you coordinate finding a roomate on the Conference forum http://forum.jquery.com/jquery-conferences
Any update on the hotel situation, and what time do things wrap up on Sunday?
might well have here in Brazil! But as no news I’m waiting!
Any word on conference rates for the hotel?
If that’s not possible, how about a list of hotels close to the conference for those of us not familiar with the area?
Bob both are posted in the jQuery conferences forum
I had no idea that was there; thanks!!
